Throwing this track in before it’s too late, it’s freaking earth shattering. Total credit goes to Too Many Sebastians for posting this a few days ago. We don’t really know what the deal is with this track or the artists, Blue Satellite, but this is just GiANt. The track’s listed under ‘batman house’ on soundcloud…so yeah. [download it here]
Fierce sounds to get down to from Sinden‘s new label Grizzly, which is showing up big in the last year, releasing hard-to-pigeon-hole beats from the likes of WAFA and Brodinksi. They’re pressing their own vinyl and putting their own brand of fun back into dance music.
Marauders is totally a peak time, freak-out track that falls somewhere inbetween the categories of tech house and total lunacy. As mentioned, hard to pigeon-hole, simply put, total hysteria.
Disturbingly good…On the frontline of cutting edge, it’s inescapable, Oliver $ is lighting things up, releasing sophisticated banger after banger with Jesse Rose‘s Made To Play and Berlin’s Jackmode Agency to name a few / fulfilling a residency where he lives in Berlin, making a monthly appearance at Made To Play‘s label night at Panorama Bar.
Brand spankin’ new monster from the man who seems to know everything about making good dance music.
Roisin Murphy & Mason_Boadicea_Oliver $ Remix – Roisin Murphy is amazing ftw. Boadicea is the 1st single being released off of Mason’s debut album They Are Among Us. It’s phenomenal and you can buy it here. Unreal remix by Oliver $.
Duncan Andrew Luke Peter Alexander Matthew Johnathon-Mars Lincoln MacLennan goes by DCUP. Yes, holy shit, he’s got a long name! DCUP is the Australian producer, remixer and DJ, who collaborated with Yolanda Be Cool on the track We No Speak Americano, which we will not speak of ever again because the song has been played to death. With that said, here’s DCUP, obviously he’s got more than ‘what won’t be mentioned‘ in his bag of tricks…
To start, we want to say how phenomenal this mix is. It’s one of THOSE mixes, so make sure you give it a proper chance, try and make it to at least min. 8 area if you’re not hooked from the start.
Next: let’s talk about James Curd. Curd started dj’ing in Chicago, where he grew up, at age 15. At 19, he released a single with Parisian label Basenotic. One thing lead to another, and so was sparked the creation of the Greenskeepers who’ve released some major brain tickling funk on DFA, Smash Hit, Child’s Play/OM, Ministry Of Sound, Aroma and Defected. Check ‘em, they’re cool cats!
Our thoughts in summary: James Curd is a widely successful dj for all of the right reasons. Curd is a creative mixer who tells a story, and a good one! that makes you move. To be cheezy, house music is about feeling and that is what Curd is so clever at making you do.
