Found this gem [as part of the longstanding tradition of Fabric recordings] at Amoeba music, in Hollywood a bunch of years ago. Asked the guy working in the ‘dance music department,’ “What’s something I don’t know about that I should?” the answer was this: a detonated explosion of edgy New York house, circa 2006.
And a few years later, got the chance to See Rub N Tug do their thing in Oslo. Well worth the inordinate amount of money we had to pay to get in; because being in Norway incinerates your pocket$. Major good time though!
It’s a roaring expedition through light and dark. The whole thing is unbelievable. Really really love this compilation. The track selection alone is worth marveling over… Had trouble finding most of these for download so just buy it here.
